OPCA is an office of the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services having regulatory control, as well as funding and program assistance, over the administration of county probation and the City of New York probation departments and over the use of correctional alternative programs throughout the state.

Those seeking services as a victim of crime should contact the New York State Office of Victim Services at www.cvb.state.ny.us/home.aspx. The New York State Department of Correctional Services also has an Office of Victim Services that can help with victim notification services (VINE) when an offender's custody status changes. For information relating to issues of domestic violence, visit the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence website at http://opdv.state.ny.us.

Anyone interested in housing, programs, conditions or visitation at local jails or inmates at local jails, should contact the New York State Commission of Correction (SCOC) at (518) 485-2346 or visit their web site at http://scoc.state.ny.us which also contains a list of addresses for all local jails in the state.
